An inspiring three-day course is being run in Cardiff over the Easter weekend to help budding dancers develop their skills and talent.Springboard dance course is for 13-21 year olds run by National Dance Company Wales in partnership with Arts Active. It runs from April 7 until 9 with the closing date for applications March 15. The course costs £45. The intensive course focuses on developing technique and is aimed at those who have some previous dance experience and are keen to learn more. The participants will get to not only work with National Dance Company Wales choreographers and dancers but will also include the opportunity to be taught segments of NDCWales’ repertoire by them. The course is held at the home of National Dance Company Wales, Dance House at Wales Millennium Centre. This state of the art dance facility includes full facilities for participants including comfortable dance studios, changing rooms, a lounge with refreshment facilities a secure open-air roof terrace and fully trained and qualified staff. National Dance Company Wales Artistic Director Ann Sholem said, “Springboard is a great chance for talented young dancers to work with the Company’s professional dancers and learn some exciting choreography including sections of Romance Inverse by the Olivier award shortlisted choreographer Itzik Galili. “This is an important part of our Future Dance Cardiff partnership with Arts Active which also runs summerdance and our Associates scheme.
