Theatr na n’Óg commission Welsh willow sculptor to create new show for young children and their families The neath based theatre company achieved huge success last autumn with their acclaimed productions 'the bankrupt bride' & 'halt! Who goes there'.

Not a company to let the grass grow under their feet, this prolific theatre company launch their new show for young children next week, which has already sold out its performances to schools!

'gluscabi' - it's title character, is a mischievous little boy whose tales are a clever and enchanting mix of storytelling and gentle learning, will be touring theatres and schools throughout south wales and will also be performed at the greenwich children's theatre festival.

The willow inspired set, designed by guy o'donnel was created by mid wales willow sculptor beryl smith, blending strong theatrical elements with themes of outdoor learning, conservation and sustainability ideally suited to the foundation phase within schools. Along with live music composed by greg palmer, this production is simply spellbinding.

Theatr na n'og's associate director phyl harries, is joined by a talented cast - dan lloyd, rhian griffiths and chris kinahan, who have created a superbly crafted show. - "its important we create an event at every school and venue we visit, with a beautiful set, fantastic stories and enthralling performances. Certainly a theatre experience never to be forgotten".

The show will open at the muni arts centre pontypridd 7th of april
And perform at the gate arts centre cardiff on the 16th / 17th of april
