Earthfall celebrate their 20th Anniversary in style with a nomination for a BAFTA Cymru Award for their short film GRAVITAS POSTCARDS directed by Chris Forster. Earthfall have previously won a BAFTA Cymru Award in 1998 for their wonderful short Too Old to Dream and were delighted to received this second nomination for Best Short Film, when the awards were announced last night in Cardiff. GRAVITAS – POSTCARDS is an 11 minute short-film about three couples, based on the live stage performance of their 2009 production GRAVITAS. Shot at three exterior locations in Cardiff at night, the duets show the emotional journeys of the characters at the end of their relationships and portrays the final few scenes of the original show. To create this film Earthfall bought in Chris Forster as Director. Having worked as Assistant Director for legendary films such as The Bourne Trilogy and the newly released Greenzone, Foster was equally pleased to receive the nomination for his work, saying: "I'm delighted that Postcards has received a nomination. It was great to get the opportunity to work with such a well established and innovative company as Earthfall on the film. Based on a piece from their show Gravitas, the film represents a collaboration in the truest sense of the word." The nomination comes as the final run of their current production GIG heads to London next week . Gig has been touring the UK for the past 6 months and ends its run at the Cochrane Theatre with performances on Wednesday 14th April and Thursday 15th April.
