Dathlu Calan Mai gives us a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our culture on an international scale and it gives us the perfect opportunity to team up with our friends at Festival Interceltique de Lorient for the first time.
So, we’ve invited musicians, artists and folkies alike – and anyone who shares our strong sense of heritage - down to the Centre for a day of live Celtic music.

Every year thousands of artists come together in the Breton harbour town of Lorient in Brittany for the festival. Performers travel from Celtic countries across the world to Lorient which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. So, with the festival season getting underway across the UK; we thought that we would return the gesture, by programming a headline gig in the Donald Gordon Theatre, showcasing Breton musicians alongside our home-grown folk, with a mini folk festival taking place throughout the day in the Glanfa to warm up our audiences for the main event.
