![]() Cardiff based company Theatr Iolo presents Finding Leaves for Soup at Blackwood Miners’ Institute on Saturday 22nd May at 11.30am & 1.30pm. Created from stories told by nursery children after their visit to a magical forest, Finding Leaves for Soup is a delightful, intimate performance with live music that will transport its audience to a magical world of stories. Theatr Iolo joined forces with the Forestry Commission, taking nursery children on a journey in Hensol Forest where they met two very special characters who welcomed the children to their magical world. The children then were encouraged to tell their own stories, which have been immortalised in Finding Leaves for Soup, entrancing children and adults alike. Running time 40 minutes. Stories of magic soup, of discovery, of sailing boats and climbing trees…and especially of friendship. All tickets cost £3.50 and are available from the Box Office on 01495 227206 or book online at www.blackwoodminersinstitute.com What children have said about Finding Leaves For Soup: “I really liked that story. I want it again. I like mud!” Asiya, age 3 “I think it looked like … wonderful”, Nevaeh, aged 4 “It wasn’t just good, it was funny!”, Brychan, 3 “It made me want to fly”, Mia, 5 |
