![]() Ceri’s main interests are music and theatre; her interest in the theatre began whilst studying drama A Level. She watched many amateur theatre groups whilst in University, and always supported new productions. Ceri writes monthly music reviews for ‘Y Cymro’ and ‘Y Selar’ about gigs, bands and new talent within the Welsh music scene, and goes to many music festivals. Ceri’s other hobbies are volunteering and travelling, she’s recently returned from Nepal, where she lived and worked in a disadvantaged village called Lamatar, outside Kathmandu. Whilst there Ceri helped build a new learning centre and taught children at the local school. She also volunteered in Romania two years ago, in a disadvantaged village called Popestii, where she worked with children at the local orphanage and helped other volunteers fund raise to pay for the children to receive their first eye test. Ceri is very passionate about the Welsh Language, working closely with the Welsh Language Society. She enjoys getting involved with Welsh media, and following her trips to Nepal and Romania gave many television and radio interviews e.g. Radio Cymru, Wedi 3. Ceri gained experience of working in a Marketing and Press Office for Aberystwyth University, recruiting students and introducing them to university life through advertising, presentations and support. Ceri is delighted to have been given the opportunity to work for the Drama Association of Wales. Ceri will be working closely with amateur theatre groups in North Wales assisting their development through support, networking, festivals and workshops.
