THE GOLDEN MASQUE OF AGAMEMNON

THE GOLDEN MASQUE OF AGAMEMNON ‘THE GOLDEN MASQUE OF AGAMEMNON’

BY JOHN WILES

One of the most exciting plays written for young actors – a Masque with speech, songs and movement bringing together all the Agamemnon stories in a way that makes them challenging, theatrical and evocative to young people who may never of heard of the Greek legends. A bloodthirsty tale of the king who sacrifices his own daughter so that he can lead his army to conquer Troy. A cast of fifty young actors retell the story of the blood curse of the House of Atreus from its beginning to its end through the life of Agamemnon and the lives of his children.
