Hijinx Theatre Co. presents INTO MY OWN at The Wyeside Theatre

Hijinx Theatre Co. presents INTO MY OWN at The Wyeside Theatre How does it feel when your whole world is turned upside down – especially when that world has always been so small, and so safe?

How do you move on into an uncertain future?

Touring for adults with learning difficulties and for the wider community as a whole, Hijinx Theatre presents Into My Own - a play written by Glenys Evans and directed by Gaynor Lougher.

“Into My Own has that Hijinx hallmark: the lump in the throat and tear in the eye that always comes just before the final scene, even with this hardened and demanding old critic” **** Western Mail

When Anne’s elderly mother has to go into long-term care, it quickly becomes apparent that no one has thought about a plan for Anne’s future: that is, until Dilys comes into her life. Dilys is a free spirit. Independent, inspirational – full of life and colour. Dilys helps Anne face up to the new challenges ahead and celebrates the new, exciting future ahead of her.

Into My Own is a story of families and friendships and about stepping into the unknown. Into My Own is a story for everyone, but has particular relevance to people within the learning disabled community. The inclusive cast sees Sara Pickard (Miss Brown to You) return for her second tour with Hijinx Theatre performing alongside Clêr Stephens (Full Circle, Ruling the Roost), Adam Timms (Chasing Rainbows) and Jack Reynolds (Seize the Day).

Tickets for this and other events can be booked by calling the box office on 01982 552 555.
