Local audiences will get a rare chance to see an
Award Nominated production just a few days before it opens at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the largest Arts Festival in the World !
Aberystwyth based Louche Theatre will be presenting ‘The Remnants of Once Fine Girls’ by Stephen Todd at the MORLAN CENTRE, Queens Road, Aberystwyth
on Tuesday 3rd August at 7.30 pm.
The play tells the story of Sarah, a mid-wife who works for Medecines Sans Frontieres in Darfur. A tragic death brings her home and makes her question who she really is. Can she reconstruct her life from the remnants her twin sister left behind ? Performed by an all female cast of 7, the action is interspersed with beautiful African, English and Jewish songs, performed live.
‘The Remnants of Once Fine Girls’ has been nominated for a Fringe First Award and the Holden Theatres of Australia Award, the winner of which is offered a 26 date tour of Holden Group theatres in Australia.
