GUESS HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU ADAPTED FOR STAGE
CHILDREN'S CLASSIC BOOK COMES TO WALES MILLENNIUM CENTRE

The best selling children's book 'Guess How Much I Love' You by Sam McBratney, with illustrations by Anita Jeram, has been adapted for the stage by David Wood, the UK's leading writer and director of children's theatre. The show will be at Wales Millennium Centre from Sunday 8 August until Tuesday 10 August 2010.

'Guess How Much I Love You' has sold more than 22 million copies worldwide, with 2.5 million copies sold in the UK alone. A copy is sold every 23 seconds, and the book has been translated into 37different languages.

Fiona Allan, Artistic Director, Wales Millennium Centre said: 'Guess How Much I Love You' is such a popular book and adored by children. In this new stage version the book's much loved characters, Little Nutbrown Hare and Big Nutbrown Hare, will take the audience, young and old on a magical journey through spring, summer, autumn and winter.'

Wales Millennium Centre is part of Tickets for Troops, which offers free tickets for major cultural, sporting and musical events to the UK's Armed Forces. Little Nutbrown Hare will be played by Abbey Norman, who is best known for her roles in The Tiger Who Came To Tea, The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo's Child. Big Nutbrown Hare will be played by Paul Sockett and Lucy by Emily Altneu.

This new stage production, directed by David Wood, with set and costumes by Susie Caulcutt and movement direction by Emma Clayton, is produced by Sally Humphreys and Jason Haigh-Ellery in association with the Rose Theatre, Kingston.
