The Corn is Green at Swansea Grand     

The Corn is Green at Swansea Grand Fluellen Theatre Company is proud to be staging the first major revival for many years of this great Welsh classic play. Set in a remote mining village in Victorian Wales, it tells the absorbing story of a visionary schoolteacher who recognises that one of her pupils, a young miner, shows outstanding promise. She determines to do everything to help him get a scholarship to Oxford. But can she overcome the prejudices of the village and the rebelliousness of the boy himself?

Cast includes Claire Novelli, James Scannell, Hannah Dawn Mason, Robert Hopkins, Katherine Weare, George Andrews, Jayne Stillman, Sean Jones, Rebecca Daniel and Tom Drewson
