It’s Christmas Eve and, while shepherds watch their flocks high up in the Austrian Alps, villagers are gathered in the church to deck the hall with boughs of holly. Brightly shines the moon that night on the snow-covered mountain, but all is calm and all is bright, with preparations underway for a festive celebration. But the river is rising fast and brings unwelcome visitors seeking sanctuary in the church and Father Joseph needs a miracle before anyone will sleep in heavenly peace!
In true Odyssey style and with music students from Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and children from Meadowbank Special School, disaster is turned to triumph as the villagers turn a long night into a festive celebration.
