Bridgend Youth Theatre and Dance in concert Bridgend County Borough Council’s Bridgend Youth Theatre and Dance are returning to the council-run Grand Pavilion, Porthcawl with two unique and very different Christmas performances featuring a selection of scenes, songs and dance numbers on Sunday 9 January 2011.

At 2pm, join their junior members for ‘Festive Favourites’ and enjoy a celebration of song and dance from some of the best loved Christmas stories ever, including songs from ‘Muppet’s Christmas Carol’, ‘Scrooge’, ‘Elf’, ‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town’ and a dance based on ‘The Snow Queen’.

At 7.30pm, book your seats for ‘The Christmas Casting’ featuring senior members and 11-14 year groups. Watch these talented young performers as they take on the role of wannabe stars desperate to impress the Judge’s Panel.

With a creative dance performance of ‘Celestial – The Cold Earth Slept Below’, and songs ranging from ‘All that Jazz’ (Chicago), ‘Play the Game’ (We Will Rock You) to ‘Fight For This Love’ (Cheryl Cole), this performance is sure to have something for everyone, and leave those X-Factor finalists trailing in the wake of Bridgend County Borough’s finest!
