Theatre for young people thrives     

THREE years ago the future of theatre for young people in Wales was in doubt.

The Arts Council of Wales had caused uproar with its controversial drama strategy, which proposed reducing the number of companies providing TIE (theatre in education) from eight to five.

But after much protest, the Arts Council decided not to go ahead with its plans and TIE is now thriving.
