META aims to provide '' a one stop resource for anyone who lives, works and breathes music''. The site includes lists of small venues, information about promoters and business contacts, funding for music activities in every area of the UK, as well as pages of practical advice on many aspects of the music industry. META also aims to provide a forum for all those working in music in the UK to have a voice. The information resource has also been set up to aid partner organisations who can upload its data for free and publish it on their own websites. Poets, novelists, photographers, singers, historians and storytellers will celebrate the cutting edge of writing in the twenty first century. The Academi is now the Welsh National Literature Promotion Agency and Society for writers and represents writers, readers and writing across a broad front. It runs competitions, conferences, readings, and other activities through a network of field and development officers. Euroscript look for new talent; selected writers go on to receive free development assistance by working with an experienced script consultant for nine months. Stories can be in any genre which will appeal to a contemporary audience. Ideas will be accepted as 4 page treatments, narrating the entire story. You will also need to send a 10 page sample of any completed screenplay you have written. All applicants will be invited to attend a free workshop in June 2002 in London on ''How to improve your treatment''. Copyright for the screenplay developed through Euroscript remains with the writer.Since ceasing its involvement with the European Media II programme Euroscript now works solely with English language material. The Arts Council of Wales has awarded the project 10 million of capital funding; other major contributors include the National Assembly and the Millennium Commission, who have awarded 37 million and 31 million respectively. A further 10 of private finance has also been secured. Wales Millennium Centre Ltd was set up in 1997, aiming to create a focal point for Welsh culture, identity and talent. The Centre will provide facilities for the preparation, rehearsal and performance of opera, drama, dance and other performing arts, also platforms for film screenings, the creation of poetry and prose, and space for workshops, lecturers, seminars and courses. A number of leading Welsh creative sector organisations, including Diversions Dance, Academi, Welsh National Opera, Urdd Gobaith Cymru and Ty Cerdd will eventually be based within the complex.
