Peter Tyndall is 'pleased with progress'     

WHEN he took up his new job as chief executive of the Arts Council of Wales, Peter Tyndall knew it would be a challenge.

Six months on, he admits one of his first tasks proved to be a real "baptism by fire".

Mr Tyndall had to attend a National Assembly committee meeting and account for the Arts Council's handling of the doomed Centre for Visual Arts.
