Prizewinning play may never be performed....     

ONE of the judges at the Urdd Eisteddfod launched a scathing attack on the Arts Council of Wales yesterday for not doing enough to support Welsh theatre.

The drama medal was won by 24-year-old Lowri Hughes, from Abergele, Denbighshire, but according to judge Jeremy Turner there seems little chance that her winning play will be performed.

He said two recent winners of the drama prize had asked for money but had not received any funding at all.
