Sorted Productions are running a one-day event on Saturday 20th July from 10am till 5pm at Soho Theatre, 21 Dean Street, London W1D 3NE. This unique day will bring together a range of theatre professionals to celebrate and explore Welsh writing in the English language. Aimed at raising an awareness of this aspect of Welsh theatre, the event will interest delegates both across the UK and from a wide variety of disciplines. There is involvement from Sgript Cymru (contemporary writing organisation based in Cardiff), Parthian Books (publishers of Welsh Drama), together with guest speaker Jeni Williams, writers and directors. A selection of performed extracts will be presented together with vibrant discussion between guests and delegates. This exciting mix of activity combines with an opportunity to meet other delegates. Lunch and refreshments will be provided and delegates are requested to make a registration donation as a contribution to the day. |
