The new call for Culture 2000, for projects starting in 2003, was announced on Friday 21 June 2002. The deadlines are 15 & 31 October 2002. Culture 2000 invites cultural operators to submit proposals for either 1-year or 2-3 year projects. The special focus in this call will be on the performing arts, but submissions are also invited in the visual arts, in cultural heritage and in books/reading (mainly translation). Projects must be uniquely European and must be developed and implemented by a partnership of organisations from at least 3 European countries: the 15 EU member states, plus Norway & Iceland, plus 10 of the "accession" countries of central & eastern Europe. It is also likely that Malta and Cyprus may be able to participate in this call. The new EUCLID site for Culture 2000 is as follows (please bookmark): www.culture2000.info This contains links to the official EC web-page from where the call (including criteria, etc.) and the application form can be downloaded. This web-site also links to the partner search databases and other Cultural Contact Points (CCPs), and contains other relevant information and guidance to help applicants. Finally, EUCLID will be running at least 2 more Culture 2000 half-day workshops in July: 18 July in London and 30 July in Leeds. The cost of attending one of these will be GBP 30 plus VAT - but they are FREE to people who attended one of these workshops run in March-April 2002. To book a place for either of these workshops, anyone interested should send an e-mail as soon as possible to seminars@euclid.co.uk. This e-mail should include full contact details so an invoice and further details can be sent (those attending a workshop in March-April should also include these details in order to get a free place). |
