Grant Schemes from Cywaith Cymru.Artworks Wales

Classification - Funding

Cywaith Cymru.Artworks Wales, the National organisation for public arts in Wales, are inviting submissions for their grant schemes which are offered in addition to their residency programme. The deadline for the next round of these two schemes is 31/03/03

*Good Ideas
Grants of up to 5,000 for artist-led innovative projects which involve the community. Eligible projects will benefit artists' development and extend the notion of 'residencies'.

*Artists-at-Work
Grants of up to 5,000 for artists working with a business or work-place. Projects should benefit artists' development and offer a valuable experience to the business and its workforce.

Woo Achievement Arts Bursaries 2003

Classification - Funding

Established professional artists who completed their full time education at least ten years ago are invited to apply for one of five 10,000 bursaries from the Woo Charitable Foundation. Subject areas covered are: painting, sculpture, ceramics, still photography, glassmaking and metal work. Please note the change in criteria from previous bursaries.
To apply send:
- a CV detailing solo or joint exhibitions and other information relevant to your career
- not more than ten 10'x8' prints or digital prints (not slides) giving a clear representation of recent and previous work.
- an SAE.

Arts Sponsorship Seminar

This day long seminar on 29/11/02 from Arts & Business Cymru, gives practical guidance for arts organisations and individuals looking to obtain and develop this source of funding.
The course cost is 40 +VAT which includes lunch and an A&B Business Sponsorship Manual. It will be held in Dawns Powys, Arlais Rd, Llandrindod Wells.

B.HERE - Engage International Conference 2002

B.HERE, the Engage international conference will explore the ways in which artists and audiences meet in the production and presentation of contemporary art. The conference will include sessions addressing programming, artist involvement, and the role of the educator. There will also be opportunities for speaker and audience discussions. The main conference will be held at Baltic in Gateshead, with opportunities to visit a number of other galleries in the area. Speakers/workshop leaders include representatives from international galleries and museums. The main conference is on 28 & 29/11/02 but there are optional meals, masterclasses and visits also available.
The cost of the two day conference is 150. Substantial reductions are available for Engage members. This cost includes all meals and events in this period. Contact Engage for further details and to book.
