Between 2004 and 2008 MTW has the opportunity to produce new operas from Lynne Plowman, Nigel Osborne, Aribert Reimann and Michael Berkeley. It has also found its first sponsor for a newly-established commissioning scheme to underwrite the new operas, which will support a new opera by Osborne based on Bulgakov's novel The Master and Margarita.
