Lisa Ullmann Travelling Scholarship Fund

Classification - Funding

The aim of this small dance charity is to provide financial assistance for travel by individuals working in movement or dance who wish to undertake a project or short course of study, or attend a conference, either overseas or in the United Kingdom. The fund supports professionals and students working in all areas of movement and dance. Applications are welcomed from choreographers, performers, lecturers, teachers, writers, therapists, administrators and related professionals, irrespective of age, nationality and previous training. The fund is for travel only, it does not cover fees or subsistence.

The average scholarship over the last 2 years has been 300 - 400, with a couple of rare exceptions of 1,000. Awards are given on an annual basis for projects taking place between April of that year and April the following year.

Ireland/Wales INTERREG IIIA Programme 2000-2006

Classification - Funding

The deadline for the third round of applications for the Ireland/Wales INTERREG IIIA programme is now open.

INTERREG III supports the development of cross border co-operation between different countries to overcome specific problems arising from their comparatively isolated socio-economic / geographical positions.

Wales is expected to develop cross border co-operation with Ireland under this programme. Projects funded under Interreg 3 must involve not only institutions but also socio-economic development agencies, non-governmental organisations and further education institutions.

Other basic eligibility criteria state that applications should demonstrate that projects:

* are located in the eligible area/s
* are truly joint, involving at least one Irish and one Welsh partner
* can demonstrate a clear funding gap and need for support under this programme

The Llandrindod Wells Drama Festival

The Llandrindod Wells Drama Festival takes place between 05 - 10/05/03.

The festival is inviting full length play entries for the festival. The closing date for entries is 10th January 2003.

As well as the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places there will also be prizes for Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Stage Presentation, Best Director, Most Promising Young Performer, Adjudicator's Award and Audience Appreciation Award.

Fundraising in the Arts
