Baring Foundation - Arts Programme

Classification - Funding

The Arts Programme has four objectives:

- to support access to the arts for their own sake and in particular to create opportunities for people whose access is limited
- to support work by arts organisations which improve people's quality of life
- to support education in and through the arts for people of any age, ability or educational background
- to support the exchange of knowledge and skills within the arts sector.

The Arts Programme contributes to the cost of small scale arts projects taking place in an educational or community context, however, it is only open to constituted, not-for-profit arts organisations based in England or Wales.
It supports a wide range of creative activities across all artforms. Each year there are around 65 grants of 1,000 - 7,000 made. The total budget of the activity should be no more than 25,000.
Deadlines for applications are the last days in February, June and October each year.
