IAN ROWLANDS will premiere his first Welsh-language play next week at the theatre where his English debut was staged nine years ago. Rowlands has spent two years working on his latest production, which was commissioned by the National Eisteddfod and will be performed at Theatr Elli in Llanelli throughout next week’s festival. And although the monologue will be performed in Welsh, there will be an English translation, which will be acted out in a separate booth on the stage.
