artistic policy Founded in 2002, the Savoy Players have since their formation produced at least two shows every year with as much variation as possible, including Oh What A Lovely War - Naked Justice - Oliver! - Abigail's Party - A Comedy Double Bill and Annie.

Our current production Home Front is a revue celebrating the sixtieth anniversary of the end of the Second World War, with particular reference to the way it affected people at home. Funded by a Lottery grant, we are selling tickets at the 1940's price of 2/- or 10p a seat.

We have a full calendar for the next few years including Amadeus - The Killing Of Sister George - Hobson's Choice - Royal Hunt Of The Sun - Death Of A Salesman and a couple of big production musicals (depending on availability of performance licences).

The Savoy Players have a social calendar that includes workshops, social gatherings, visits to other theatres and of course the Christmas Dinner.

We are constantly looking for new members not only to perform but to provide the myriad of other functions - back stage, below stage and front of house - without which the show could not go on. So if you want to have a go, get in contact, come along and join in. For more details please ring Vic Bignell on 01600 750488 or Keith Mortimer, 01600 772685.
