artistic policy The Castle Players ADS is a registered charity whose object is
"To cultivate an appreciation of theartical arts by promoting the reading,
studying and production of works of artistic merit for the educational
benefit of the community of Beaumaris"
The society has since its reformation in 1987 produced a diverse range of
work from pantomimes to hard hitting drama.
Amongst the works we have produced are:
Blithe Spirit.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking Glass.

700 (A performance piece written by the society to celebrate the 700th
anniversary of the granting of the royal charter to Beaumaris).

Absent Friends.

A day in the death of Joe Egg.

Treasure Island.

The Wizard of OZ.

The Trial of Richard Rowlands (A performance piece based on the last
hanging in Beaumaris).

In furtherance of our aims many of our productions have involved young
people form south east Anglesey & students from Bangor University who have
gained valuable experience in the dramatic arts through their involvement
with the society.

We have also participated in events in Beaumaris to provide entertainment
for tourists and to support the economy of the town.
The Society's won the Anglesey One Act Drama Festival in 2003 & 2004 and
were invited to the Wales Final Festival of One Act Play in 2004 in
Swansea where Castle Players member Brian Jones won the best actor award.
