| other notes | The society was founded in 1916 and is one of the oldest in Wales. The first production was 'The Mikado' which was performed at The Pavilion Theatre, Abertillery. We have performed musicals at many different venues including The Pavilion Theatre Abertillery, The Metropole Theatre Abertillery, Abertillery Leisure Centre, and Beaufort Theatre. After an absence of 8 years we are finally 'back home' at The Metropole Cultural and Conference Centre following it's one and a quarter million pounds overhaul. We rehearse on a Monday and Thursday night at the Commercial in Market Street Abertillery at 7:30pm. New members are always welcome. |
