artistic policy The Cwmbran Woodland Players was originally founded in 1970 by Nina Richards to produce an annual pantomime. We now annually produce musicals and traditional pantomimes at the Congress Theatre, Cwmbran along with regular concerts and occasional other productions at various other venues. Recent pantomimes include: Frankenstein (2007), Cinderella (2006) and Peter Pan (2005), while recent musicals include: Me and My Girl (2004), Annie (2003), Carousel (2002) and The Sound of Music (2001).

We are a committee run, non-profit making society, affiliated to NODA and WAMF. We are a friendly crowd and are always looking for new members from
the age of 9 an over. If you can sing in tune and feel you might have a talent for performing please contact us via email or come along to a rehearsal. We hold auditions for all productions for new and existing members and have an annual membership fee of 20 (10 cons). We also welcome people wanting to help with the technical side. If you have experience in theatre lighting, sound or stage management, or wish to gain experience then please come along.

We all rehearse on Wednesday evenings at Woodland Road Sports and Social Centre, Croesyceiliog, Cwmbran from 7pm/7:30pm and principals also rehearse Thursday evenings.

Our next production will be "Thoroughly Modern Millie", to be performed from 2nd - 6th September 2008. Tickets will be available by contacting the
Congress Theatre Box Office on 01633 868239.
