artistic policy | Act! Sing! Dance! Training for Life! For over ten years Stagecoach Bridgend & The Vale is proud to have been providing quality, professional performing arts training for children and teenagers. Our ‘Main’ schools, for age 6-16+, run on a Thursday evening, Friday evening, Saturday morning and afternoon in Bridgend, and in Cowbridge on a Sunday morning. The sessions are 3 hours long, providing an hour each of dance, drama and singing. All our teachers are highly trained professionals who offer fun, energetic, stimulating sessions. Our 'Early Stages' classes cater for the 3 - 6 age range, and run on the same days as our ‘Main’ schools. Each class is 90 minutes long, providing 30 minutes each of dance, drama and singing. 'Early Stages' is an excellent introduction to the performing arts, whilst being great fun! Throughout the year both Stagecoach Main School & Early Stages students have the opportunity to perform as part of an informal Demonstration or in the annual Presentation, staging a show with costumes, sound & lighting as part of their tuition. There are also other opportunities to perform with external agencies, & all students can audition to become part of the Stagecoach Agency. We also run examinations with the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA) for those students who wish to take exams in verse, prose and acting. 100% pass rate last year. Outside of term-time our popular Summer Holiday workshops are a fantastic way to spend a week of the summer. Stagecoach students develop confidence, self-esteem, communication and presentation skills. These skills, learned while our students enjoy themselves, do not disappear when they come off stage. They are skills for life. If you haven’t experienced the magic of Stagecoach yet, then waste no time and enrol today! |
