| artistic policy | There is open access to anyone living in the County aged 15-25 years. They meet for workshops October-March at Blackwood Miners Institute (day and times vary). These workshops are run by specialist theatre practioners covering all aspects of theatre skills. From April - July the Youth Theatre rehearse and perform a Shakespeare play which is directed by a professional Director, and has a professional production team to include, Musical Director, Designer, Fight Director, Choreographer, Light and Sound Designer. These productions are staged at Caerphilly Castle as part of the Caerphilly International Festival. Past productions have included A Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo and Juliet and Twelfth Night. |
