synopsis:
Tony Brown and Alex Alderton
A new play with music by Tony Brown
‘Stones aren’t good or bad, are they? Just silent witnesses to our actions.’
A singer suddenly finds herself having to review the life she has so painstakingly built up over the years.
Each song she wrote and performed was devised to make sense of the feelings and events that have brought her to this place. But the carefully constructed edifice is threatening to topple over, and the delicate balance between health, happiness and sanity seems suddenly very tenuous.
This new one-woman show brings the combined talents of Alex Alderton (recently of The House Project) and writer/composer Tony Brown (Found Reality Theatre) for the first time together on Chapter stage. With a live band and 12 new songs, the show is an exploration of memory and reality, choice and powerlessness.
The show is at Chapter Theatre
Wednesday 9th – Saturday 12th June 2004
