Waiting at the Water's Edge |

synopsis:
A magical and gripping journey from the North Wales coast to the mining heartland of Nova Scotia, this production tenderly deals with themes of belonging and identity. "Once you've gone you can't come back" warns Susie Owen on leaving Wales. Her chance meeting on a beach with Violet Evans propels us on an adventure of intrigue, passion and flight, constantly undermining notions of male/female and master/servant roles. Amidst a 1920's legacy of pit disasters and miners strikes, the play beautifully charts the strength of female friendship and loyalty.
Hailed by The Spectator as "a spiritual odyssey of considerable majesty" this play is a visual treat.
