| The DeadHead Show |
First
presented in 2003
by Sean Tuan John |
synopsis:
A destitute rabble of homeless ghosts perform a decrepit and sordid cabaret. Armed with a plethora of microphones they dance and rant stories of lost lives and alcoholic days. The DeadHead Show fuses hysterical and dynamic dance with elements of dada cabaret to create an evening of anarchic delight. It extracts both the banal and the fantastical; where a dark humour and "excessive" acting are mixed with an entertaining dose of quirky, idiosyncratic dance routines. Performed by Bert van Gorp, Jo Shapland, Marega Palser, Sean Tuan John and Sally Marie, with music by the iconoclastic and ironic New York based Stephen Merritt and the psychedelic sounds of Primal Scream.

| Dances for Aliens |
First
presented in 2000
by Sean Tuan John |
synopsis:
Since 1994, Sean Tuan John and the eccentric Belgium choreographer Bert van Gorp have been creating uncompromising performances that have toured extensively in Europe.
Dances for Aliens takes their shared interest in absurd physical humour, trash pop aesthetics, love of Kitsch and idiosyncratic dance style to new heights. Sean Tuan John and Bert van Gorp deliver a surreal and strange duet of sci-fi B movies, 70s hedonism and 90s pessimism. Brash and decadent, ridiculous and excessive, two deranged space junkies dance themselves dead and back again, driven on by vulgar tunes from American indie band, The Dandy Warhols.
