synopsis: Willows III - Waiting for take off... is based on the relatively little known but remarkable event that took place in the heart of Cardiff in 1910. ...in the early misty morning of June 10th 1910, the young aeronaut Captain Ernest Willows and his airship crossed Cardiff from Eastmoors in the Docks to land on the lawns of the city hall... This pioneering moment was captured through a few blurred photographs but also miraculously on film - but for 21 seconds only. |
