cast size:2
synopsis: Since 1994, Sean Tuan John and the eccentric Belgium choreographer Bert van Gorp have been creating uncompromising performances that have toured extensively in Europe. Dances for Aliens takes their shared interest in absurd physical humour, trash pop aesthetics, love of Kitsch and idiosyncratic dance style to new heights. Sean Tuan John and Bert van Gorp deliver a surreal and strange duet of sci-fi B movies, 70s hedonism and 90s pessimism. Brash and decadent, ridiculous and excessive, two deranged space junkies dance themselves dead and back again, driven on by vulgar tunes from American indie band, The Dandy Warhols. |
