synopsis: Young Peoples Theatre linked to the curriculum for 5th and 6th years and taking place as four characters flee from a civil war. Commissioned and toured by Theatr Iolo. Performed at Cambria Arts Festival, Tregaron in April 1998 Tony Grady - The Belgrade Theatre Coventry. "...full of subtle use of dramatic action, image and object, rather than words, to carry meaning. To give an example: the boy and girl feeding each other chocolate. I would say that this short sequence contains all of the ambiguities, contradictions and ambivalence of their relationship at this point-." |
