"Mesmerising dream sequences - stunning series of tableaux - richly imaginative - takes dance and theatre into strange new worlds." - Penny Simpson Striking Attitudes was founded in 1992 by Caroline Lamb as a cross-art form company with its roots in dance.The company works with actors who move and dancers who speak and aims to blur the boundaries between art forms with a complex meshing and pulling together of theatre,dance, text, visual art and eclectic music and sound. The result is a unique and accessible mix, a richly layered tapestry of narrative, colour and imagery that is total theatre. In 1999 the Company joined forces with Wyndham Price, film director and writer and is now expanding its activities into the field of film. The Company is presently working on achieving funding for its large scale cross-art form theatre production "Three Parts Iced Over" which has been in development since 2000.The piece centres around the contemporary narrative of Wyndham Price's script and the mythic imagery and symbolism of Caroline Lamb's choreography. |
