National Dance Company Wales is an award-winning national dance company which presents adventurous and stylish programmes of dance. As Artistic Director, Ann Sholem is committed to creating a unique repertoire by commissioning international choreographers whose work is generally not seen in the UK. Recent collaborations include Roy Campbell Moore, Nigel Charnock, Stijn Celis, Stephen Petronio, Stephen Shropshire and Itzik Galili. The Company tours throughout Wales, the UK and overseas, performing in a diverse range of venues and festivals. In addition to performing, the Company also runs various engagement, participation and professional development activities. The year-long apprenticeship programme, workshops and Easter/Summer Schools all play a key role in the Company???s remit to serve the dance needs of Wales. The Dance House at the prestigious Wales Millennium Centre is both a home-base for the Company and a world-class production facility and performance space for other dance projects. National Dance Company Wales is committed to supporting and showcasing the work of a range of artists and stages regular performances in the Blue Room. |

Diversions was founded in 1983 by Roy Campbell-Moore and Ann Sholem. Initially a company of five dancers, the Company has grown to a team of eight full-time dancers and two apprentices. The Company was awarded the status of a Wales National Performing Arts Company in 1999 and was re-named National Dance Company Wales in 2009. |
