2005/2006 saw our launch into the professional theatrical arena after many years of planning,training and generally getting it together.'The Son,the Lover and the Holy Spin' was our first piece,a duet which looked at the story of Jesus and Mary Magdalene and related the themes of this speculative tale to our contemporary relationships and gender politics. The piece was well recieved,performed initially at Chapter Arts and then developed and shown again at Diversions Dance House and Theatr Y Bont.This show was directed by dancer and choreographer Janis Claxton and mentored by Angus Balbernie. 2007 sees us collaborating with local director Sam Boardman-Jacobs of Found Reality Theatre company on a piece of dance theatre which explores transgressive identities.Look out for our dates at Chapter as part of the Queer Cymru festival and at the Atrium,Cardiffs new school of cultural and creative studies due to open this autumn. Uhhuh offer after show discussions and workshops which faciliate inclusive practice. We have a DVD of our work to date which can be obtained by contacting us. |
