The Wales Graduate Theatre Company exists to create performance opportunities for Welsh Graduates of Specialist Colleges, the aim, to get these gifted young people to bring their skills and talents back home. |
| brief history hanes cryno |
Wales Graduate Theatre Company was founded in July 2008 by Vivienne Buckley and Rhys Matthews, both are Graduates of London Drama Schools, living in South Wales. In 2008 they put together a performance project as part of the Margam Festival. The project was an experiment that saw three actors, a director and a playwright create a new piece of writing, the rehearsal process was observed by members of a youth theatre. The piece was a great success. Not only in terms of the work created but also in terms of the amazing energy the team brought to the project. It felt new, it felt exciting. It felt like the start of something. Just over a year later we are delighted to be holding our Launch Performance at the Taliesin Arts Centre. |
