Living Pictures Productions are a registered charity formed in 1999 by Elen and Robert Bowman (patrons include Katie Mitchell, Ian Rickson and Mike Alfreds). Both directors have worked extensively as actors and both have undergone Russian directing training in the 1990s. The Company was formed to find new and engaging ways to train for and perform theatre art. Living Pictures are based near Carmarthen and work with emerging Directors and Actors, aiming to develop and nurture that talent. The company organises and runs workshops for directors and actors both in Wales and London. Elen is an Associate Director at TheatrGenedlaetholCymru and Robert teaches Acting at University of Carmarthen, Trinity St David's. Living Pictures past productions include: Diary of a Madman, Miss Julie, Free from Sorrow, The Nest and Andromache. Living Pictures has successfully produced the following shows over the last few years: Miss Julie 2010 Diary of a Madman 2011 (at Chapter Arts centre) 2012 (Sherman Cymru) and will tour again in 2013.
