Broken Souls is a production company run by James Ashton and Alex Harries. James and Alex both met while training at Queen Margaret's in Edinburgh and are now based in Cardiff. Both James and Alex have worked in theatre and television and are both Actors and Directors. James Ashton As an actor, James has worked with National Theatre Wales, Torch Theatre, Aberystwyth Arts Centre, Hijinx and many more. He was a member of Oren for 2 years and in March 2011 is a founder member of Living Pictures Associates. James has recently worked on Bound by Bear Trap Theatre, Once Upon a Time by Likely Story, Macbeth at Pontardawe Arts Centre and numerous theatre shows, shorts and films. Alex Harries Alex Harries is a Welsh actor and lives in Cardiff. Best known for his portrayal of Scott in Pobol Y Cwm, Alex has also worked in Emmerdale and is currently working on BBC4 and S4C's Hinterland. Both James and Alex will be taking alternating acting and directing roles for each Broken Souls production. Broken Souls's next project will be a site specific show play, Shadowboxing, which will be directed by James and performed by Alex. |
