Sioned Huws was brought up in rural Wales. Five years ago she returned there to look at her cultural heritage and to make work from aspects of this. Landscape has always had an influence on her, a sense of place, how it is expressed, how a feeling of one place is brought into another, the outside to the inside, a landscape to a cityscape.She studied at the Laban Studio, London and the Merce Cunningham studio in New York. |
