Wot Theatre was the resident YPT company at Llanover Hall Arts Centre Cardiff from 1987-1993. During this time they toured to community venues, schools, youth clubs and playschemes throughout South Wales, receiving support from SEWAA, the Welsh Arts Council (as it was then), Cardiff City Council and South Glamorgan County Council. The company performed new writing and devised work: Kickstart by Mark Jenkins (1988), Ragnarok (devised, 1988), Lush by Richard Downing (1989), Aliens (devised, 1989), Sweet NFA by Rosie Cullen (1990), Swinesong by Richard Downing (1990), Hardcore by Anna Reading (1991), The Prince and the Pauper by Tim Green (1991), Cash by Mark Ryan (1992) and Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Mark Ryan (1993). In 1992 Wot Theatre were Resident Theatre Company at Garden Festival Wales performing many devised shows and events as well as Merlin by Tim Green and Red Riding and The Hood by Mark Ryan. The company closed in 1993 following policy changes in local government funding.
