As well as being Reader in Theatre & Media Drama at the University of Glamorgan he continues his professional practice which covers Scriptwriting for Radio, TV & Theatreas well as Designing and Directing.

He was an acredited European Union consultant for Radio Drama and trained the writers for Romania's first home grown Soap.

In a long career he has designed for many companies world wide including the Scottish Ballet,Habimah National Theatre and The Teatro Espanol in Madrid. Theatre Modernes in Munich, Theatre am Goethe Platz Bremen & The Royal Court Theatre, London.

In the last four years his work, as Director/Designer, on Holocaust and Yiddish Theatre based drama for Manchester Youth Theatre has won aclaim. he was a Scriptwriter for both BBC Radio 4's The Archers and Channel 4's Brookside.

His specialist research interests are
Holocaust and Yiddish Theatre and The Spanish Republic/Civil war.

His stage plays about Federico Garcia Lorca and Violette Leduc have been seen at the Sherman Theatre in Cardiff as well as in Barcelona.

He has no conflict between teaching and being a working practicioner as he feels strongly that his practice informes his teaching and vice versa.
