Expertise: Isaac Blake a Romany Gypsy, who is now a professional chorographer and a director of The Romani Cultural and Arts Company launched in Wale. Isaac completed a 3 year undergraduate Dance Theatre Course at Laban and also attended The Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance New York focused towards performance. Whilst at Laban, Isaac experienced working with various artists and companies including Adventures in Motions Pictures (AMP), DV8 and Rambert. Isaac is committed to setting and achieving the highest standards both technically and creatively. Since Laban, Isaac has worked with Ragdoll, The BBC, Chapter Arts, Arts Council, FIND, S4C and Local Housing and Education Authorities in and around Wales and London. Isaac has a unique Gypsy, Roma and Traveller prospective as a Coreographer.


PERFORMANCE AND ARTISTIC EXPERIENCE
2006 – Present
· Choreographer and Director of “Lavor” for the Inc’ling project at the Wales Millennium Centre platform to experiment and receive feedback. The Company brought 3 performers together to explore the twin concepts of communal anonymity and loss of language.
· Movement coach and choreographer for YAS at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama
· Choreographer, Disney High School Musical for the Merthyr Tydfil Housing Tenant & Community
· Performer, Pobol Y Cwm ‘S4C’ (prisoner)
· Choreographer, Art Disability Newport Riverfront Theatre
· Choreographer, Dancetheatrework Summer Arts School Performances ending in performance at the Waterfront Festival Barry
· Apprenticeship: Apprentice, to directly assist Toni Mira as part of the team for the TAN Dance performance project working with 100 boys and men from rehearsal to performance.
2005 - 2006
Animatronic performer for Ragdoll Productions as “Ooo”, one of three “Tombliboos,” in 20 episodes of “In the Night Garden”. The role entailed puppeteering, working in a full body suit with props in sets with various levels, slides, ladders and oversized furniture. Each performer chose and established individual character styles and movements. The role required multiple skills and considerable improvisation and imagination since many scenes were filmed against blue screen.
2004 - 2005
DaCapos School of Performing Arts, teaching and choreographing a wide cross section of the public in both London and Wales for the Arts Council, Heronsbridge Special Needs School.
