| I started working in theatre by assisting Tim Davies when he was commissioned to adapt his installation, Caress, for Theatr Y Byd's Love in Plastic. Following this, I studied the BA Theatre Design Course at the University of Central England in Birmingham and then an MA at University College London. I have recently moved back to Pembrokeshire after studying the MA in Fine Art Theatre Design at The Slade. During this study, I won a Slade Project Award for my final degree Installation and represented the School as part of the national 2D:3D Theatre Design Exhibition with designs for Bizet's The Pearl Fishers. The exhibition toured to Prague for the Prague Quadrennial 2003 international theatre festival. After graduating I won the Theatre Alive! 2003 Award to design both set and costumes for the Cherub Company's 25th Anniversary season. The Master and Margarita opened at the new Menier Theatre in London, October 2003. Since my first professional commission, I have worked for Yolanda Sonnabend and for the Royal Shakespeare Company as design assistant for both Beauty and the Beast and Alls Well that Ends Well at Stratford Upon Avon. |
