Puppeteer, Puppet & Costume Character Designer and Builder Chris Topper trained at Hull college of Art gaining an honours degree in fine art. He has been a professional puppeteer and puppet maker for 16 years. He has worked principally in creating and building puppets for his own productions, these include 'The Three Little Pigs', 'Red Riding Hood', 'Puss in Boots', 'Jack Rabbit and the Beanstalk' and 'The Madcap Monkeys'. All of his shows feature colourful hand puppet animal characters in pantomime style stories. Performing the shows has taken Chris all over the U.K, working in Theatres, Schools and Promotional events. He has performed at several Festivals of British Puppetry and at the Millennium Dome. Chris has also made puppets for a number of other theatre companies and performers. He has worked for BBC television on 'Wham Bam, Strawberry Jam' (puppeteer and designer) and 'Friday Live' as well as appearing (usually with puppet in hand) on several TV shows including 'Today's The Day' (BBC), 'One to Win' (Channel 5), Colons Cooking College (Carlton). He has also built props and models for several TV and theatre projects including ' Secret Of The Lost Time Capsule' (Dalugan Phinnbit sculpture ) and ' The Humpties' (an all puppet pilot). |
