The Cardiff International Festival of Musical Theatre is currently selling one of the sets from the 2002 Festival on Ebay. The set from Babes In Arms, which was at the New Theatre running from the 16th October 2002 until Saturday 26th October 2002, is now for sale on Ebay.The Festival, now gearing up for the second season starting on the 1st April 2005 for two weeks and three weekends ending on the 17th April, has again promised to deliver large and small scale, fully staged productions and concerts as well as a programme of Cabaret, Jazz and late night events. To assist the fundraising and profile of the Festival, the team are selling the set of Babes In Arms on Ebay to help secure funds for future Festivals, so they contacted Ebay and added the set to the list of theatre collectables and memorabilia, for any musical lover to bid for. Babes In Arms, the main musical in the 2002 Festival, is the ultimate “lets put the show on here” feel good musical. The set, designed by Mark Bailey, an original repertory touring and west end proscenium arch version, is designed for a fully staged production of Babes In Arms. This includes the opening scenes backstage at the Hat & Cane Theatre, Cape Cod, outside the Stage Door, a bedroom at the Millbank Hotel and the Deep North itself.
