The Welsh Assembly Government has allocated an extra £250,000 towards Welsh writing in English. The funding is designed to create new interest in English language writing from Wales and will run alongside the £600,000 Academi receives to support Welsh-language writers. The new funding scheme will be used to help new writers in Wales as well as produce a 'Library of Wales' featuring previously published Welsh classics. |
